Calling all alumni! university volunteer opportunity at hong kong campus
UChicago alumni are invited to join us on this Heritage and Community Day as a University Ambassador, to share your UChicago experiences with the visitors and to guide them around to the various interest points on campus.
We are excited to announce that on Sunday, Dec 2, the new campus facilities will be open to the public for tours with a series of conversations on the history and heritage of the Mount Davis site. There will also be an art exhibit with a set of woodcut prints created by Chinese artists during WWII depicting wartime Yan’an, as well as a literary exhibit displaying the work of two University of Chicago professors who distinguished themselves in the difficult art of translation: David Tod Roy (1933 – 2016) and Anthony C. Yu (1938 – 2015).
Alumni are cordially invitde to join us on this Heritage and Community Day as a University Ambassador, to share your UChicago experiences with the visitors and to guide them around to the various interest points on campus. The 30-minute tours will run throughout the day and we hope you will be interested and proud to represent the University. In preparation for the walking tour, you are also invited to come visit the campus for a preview and get familiarized with the tour route. Mr Ka Shing YU, our Interpretation and Curation Consultant, will also join to share the Character Defining Elements of the heritage campus.
Your generous support and participation is highly appreciated. Please sign up here by November 20 to be considered.
